Announcing the 2014 "Best Of" The Writers in Paradise Workshops

After the 2014 Eckerd College Writers’ Conference, participants applied what they learned in the workshops and plenary sessions to new and old writing projects. All participants were given the opportunity to submit work for consideration in the 2014 Volume of Sabal, a literary journal featuring writing by conference participants.

The writers selected by Sterling Watson and Norris Comer for “The Best Of” will receive two copies of the 2014 Volume of Sabal, and a subscription to next year’s Sabal.

These works reflect a variety of voices, experience, and styles, but all have excellence in common. We thank all of our students for their hard work, talent, commitment, and the generosity of spirit that led them to us and made them our colleagues for a wonderful week. We hope they are as proud of themselves as we are of them.
